More than 45 years ago, Helmut Guenschel, Inc. was founded by European trained master craftsmen who instilled the company with an appreciation of quality and an affinity for detail that has become our trademark. Working from state-of-the-art facilities in Baltimore, Maryland, Helmut Guenschel, Inc. maintains several disciplines under one roof. Our highly skilled staff includes individuals with expertise in client services, cost estimating, design, computer-aided drafting (CAD), engineering, project management, wood and metal working, finish carpentry and fine finishing.

A combined excellence in the areas of design, engineering, architectural woodwork and custom fabrication has generated patented products, earned significant design awards, and established Helmut Guenschel, Inc. as an industry leader and one of the truly unique global organizations serving the collections field.

Recognized internationally for creating display cases of the highest quality and for the innovative engineering behind the most advanced display case system available, HGI products are specified by architects, designers and used by many of the most celebrated museums. Our exhibit products address the full range of technical requirements and collections issues including all facets of active and passive conservation, the use of proven environmentally safe materials, state-of-the-art security and effective seismic anchoring.
